How to Summarize a Text

Last week you had to summarize a text from our reading tasks units 1-4, some of you have just got my suggestions to your work, some others haven't done so far...
As you know, writing a summary is the first exercise on your ABAU test so, apart from those papers I gave you some time ago, here you can learn some tips to do it.
Remember, a summary cannot start using the words 'The text explains /says / suggests...', enter directly to the topic, do NOT use those topic phrases, you only have 50 words to show your understanding of the test, your fluency and accuracy. Do not waste your time and words with them.

In this video you will get clear instructions, and in Oxford Online English  you will find the texts mentioned.
