Present tenses and Past tenses

This video is about present simple and present continuous. 

Present simple is used to talk about fixed actions or rutines:

• We usually go to the cinema to see a comedy on Fridays. 
• We eat pizza and we drink lemonade.

We use present continuous to talk about actions in progress now:

• We aren't watching a comedy, we are watching a cartoon
• We aren't eating pizza, we are eating burguers and chips, we are drinking milk

This video is about past simple and past continuous

• Some days ago Sam and Anna were talking when I went into the kitchen
• The day before yesterday we were having dinner when the phone rang
